
Argentinean Boxing returns and hits again with an action packed night brought by Argentina Boxing Promotions on TyC Sports. South American and World Boxing Council (WBC) Latino cruiserweight champion, two-time olympian and unbeaten Argentinean prospect Yamil Peralta, will face tough countryman Marcos “El Comandante” Karalitzky, trying to defend for the first time his South American crown, at the main event of an exciting boxing night on Friday, October 30th, at the Club Atlético, Social y Deportivo Camioneros, in Luis Guillón, Buenos Aires, Argentina, promoted by Argentina Boxing Promotions, of Mario Margossian, which will be televised live on TyC Sports, to Argentina, the United States and the whole continent, 10 p.m. Argentina, 9 p.m. USA (ET).
In the co main event of the evening, South American featherweight champion, Alan “El Lumbriz” Luques Castillo, will face undefeated prospect Federico “El Zurdo” Pedraza, trying to defend for the fifth time his belt, fight co promoted with Sampson Boxing, of Sampson Lewkowicz, in a new example of both companies initiative of facing the best against the best.
The event will mark the awaited return of boxing in Argentinian soil since the irruption of the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, and will be in charge of the same company that promoted the last boxing show in the country, on March 13th in Buenos Aires. After months of hard and silent work the sport will have its long-expected resumption, in a show behind closed doors for the public, with the strictest security controls following the health protocols issued by national and municipal health authorities, as well as the Argentinian Boxing Federation.
On Thursday afternoon, all of the participants were tested for the Coronavirus COVID-19, in a strict control that took place at the Argentinian Boxing Federation, and all of the results turned out negative, leaving everyone ready to fight. After that, it was time for the weigh in ceremony.
In what is expected to be an action packed fight, Peralta (6-0, 2 KOs), 29 years old, from Del Viso, Buenos Aires, Argentinean representative in London 2012 -where he reached quarter finals- and Rio de Janeiro 2016, #1 of the Argentinean cruiserweight ranking and #22 WBC, who on May 11th, 2019, dethroned Marcos Aumada by unanimous decision to conquer his WBC Latino belt that after beating Esteban López he defended in the rematch over Aumada, will put on the line the South American crown he obtained on February 1st when he destroyed Darío Balmaceda by a strong technical knock out in the ninth round in Los Polvorines, Buenos Aires. Now he will face Karalitzky (7-3-2, 2 KOs), 31, from Temperly, Buenos Aires, #8 of the Argentinean light heavyweight ranking, who after beating Gustavo Domínguez Chamorro and losing on points against Russian puncher Artur Ziyatdinov in Canada, comes after December 13th defeating Damián García by unanimous decision in Temperley, and yearns for his biggest victory.
Both fighters made the weight on the scales, leaving everything ready for their bout. Peralta weighed 198.8 lbs., and Karalitzky weighed 195.3 lbs.
LUQUES CASTILLO-PEDRAZA
In the co main event, South American featherweight champion, Alan “El Lumbriz” Luques Castillo (27-9, 10 KOs), will face undefeated prospect Federico “El Zurdo” Pedraza (11-0-1, 1 KO), trying to defend for the fifth time his belt.
Luques Castillo weighed 124.3 lbs., and Pedraza weighed 125.5 lbs.
Luques Castillo, 29 years old, from Córdoba, #2 of the Argentinean featherweight ranking and former WBC Latino super bantamweight champ, with a vas experience defeating Leandro Esperante, Lucas Báez, Fabián Orozco, and losing against top names such us Mexican Diego De La Hoya, Irish Anthony Cacace -in London-, and Kazakhstan’s Stanislav Kalitskiy -en Russia-, will put on the line the belt he conquered on August 19th, 2017, defeating in a rematch Julián Aristule by unanimous decision, and he retained over Gastón Bustamante, Esteban Stodulski -twice-, and Kevin Acevedo. Now he’ll face the young Pedraza, 24, from San Martín, Buenos Aires, #1 of the Argentinean featherweight, who has defeated every opponent including Matías Leiva, Sergio Estrela and Mauro Barrios, and comes after October 18th, 2019, when he beat Aristule by split decision in Cutral Có, Neuquén.
GREAT ATTRACTIONS: SCHRAMM, ABELLANEDA AND MORE
Beyond the main fights, a heated card is being prepared to complete the night. Undefeated prospect Emmanuel “GES” Schramm (6-0-1, 5 KOs), from Moreno, Buenos Aires, will face an unstoppable Rodrigo “Finito” Escasena (9-13-3, 1 KO), from La Plata, Buenos Aires, in a bout scheduled to six rounds.
Schramm weighed 147 lbs., and Escasena weighed 146.1 lbs.
In another great attraction of the evening, in a rematch in super lightweight division, current Argentinian lightweight champion, Yamila Abellaneda (9-4, 3 KOs), from San Juan, takes on Sofía “La Lobita” Rodríguez (2-3), from Laprida, Buenos Aires, in a bout scheduled to six rounds, after last December 20th Abellaneda won by unanimous decision after four chapters at this same venue.
Abellaneda weighed 137.7 lbs., and Rodríguez weighed 142.1 lbs.
Also, in heavyweight division, former South American and Latino heavyweight champion Gonzalo “Patón” Basile (75-13-0-1 sd, 36 KOs), from Lanús, Buenos Aires, faces Gustavo “El Volcán” Schmitt (5-11-1, 1 KO), from Florencio Varela, Buenos Aires, in a bout scheduled to six rounds.
Basile weighed 240.1 lbs., and Schmitt weighed 200.9 lbs.
Finally, in featherweight division, Maximiliano Maidana (3-0, 2 KOs), from Buenos Aires, takes on debutant Rodrigo “Rocky” Roldán, from Grand Bourg, Buenos Aires, in a bout scheduled to four rounds.
Maidana weighed 122.5 lbs., and Roldán weighed 126 lbs.
