Andino against Antín headlines great show on Friday

The boxing activity continues in Argentina with an action packed night, including promising prospects brought by Argentina Boxing Promotions on TyC Sports. Highly rated Argentinian prospect Nicolás “El Elegante” Andino will face tough Miguel “El Gato” Antín, trying to conquer the World Boxing Association (WBA) Fedebol welterweight vacant title, at the main event of an exciting boxing night on Friday, March 26th, at the Microestadio Municipal de Hurlingham, in Hurlingham, Buenos Aires, Argentina, promoted by Argentina Boxing Promotions, of Mario Margossian, which will be televised live on TyC Sports, to Argentina, the United States and the whole continent, at 9 p.m. Argentina, 8 p.m. USA (ET).

In a hard clash between to skillful fighters, Andino (15-1, 2 KOs), 25 years old, from Villa Caraza, Buenos Aires, # 5 of the Argentinian super lightweight ranking, will look to shine again. After beating important names such us Claudio Daneff, Antonio Santillán, Diego Tejerina, Sebastián Chaves, Marcelo Mesa and Julio Ruiz, only losing against Daniel Córdoba for the Argentinian belt, he comes after dominating Andrés Tejada and Daniel Aquino by decision on February 26th at this same venue. Now he will face Antín (19-6, 9 KOs), 27, from Trelew, Chubut, # 10 of the Argentinian super lightweight ranking and former World Boxing Council (WBC) Latino super featherweight champion, who has beaten countrymen Miguel Acosta, Rubén López and Pablo Ojeda. He has also challenged big names such us Matías Rueda, Jeremías Ponce and Claudio Daneff, and has faced abroad Polish Damian Wrzesinski, German Artem Harutyunyan and French Yvan Mendy, in his last fight on December 5th in France.

SILVA-PRADO, THE CO MAIN EVENT

In the co main event of the evening, Abel “El Pumita” Silva (6-6-3, 3 KOs) will face Santiago Prado (3-5-1, 1 KO), in a bout in flyweight division, scheduled to six rounds.

Silva, from Chaco, # 2 of the Argentinian flyweight ranking, comes after a major victory on January 8th when he took revenge of current Argentinian flyweight monarch Junior Zárate after ten rounds. Now he will face Prado, from Villa María, Córdoba, looking to continue his path.

DANEFF-PÉREZ AND MORE

Beyond the main fights, a heated card has been prepared to complete the night. Jesús “Chechu” Daneff (8-4-2, 3 KOs), from Cañuelas, Buenos Aires, will face César Pérez (5-17-4), from Claypole, Buenos Aires, in a bout in lightweight division, scheduled to six rounds.

In another attraction of the evening, in welterweight division, Yoel “El Chacal” Peralta (5-1, 1 KO), from Del Viso, Buenos Aires, takes on Darío “Seco” Soto (1-0-1, 1 KO), from Rosario, Santa Fe, in a bout scheduled to four rounds.

Finally, in lightweight division, debutant Franco Cajal, from Vicente López, Buenos Aires, faces Fernando Quinteros (0-1), from Hurlingham, Buenos Aires, in a bout scheduled to four rounds.
