López and Carreño ready for the world title in Luis Guillón

Argentinean and South American flyweight champion, undefeated rising star Anahí “La Indiecita” López, will face former world title challenger Venezuelan Niorkis “La Bachaca” Carreño, trying to conquer the World Boxing Organization (WBO) World flyweight vacant title, at the main event of an exciting boxing night this Friday night at the Club Atlético, Social y Deportivo Camioneros, in Luis Guillón, Buenos Aires, Argentina, promoted by Argentina Boxing Promotions, of Mario Margossian, which will be televised live on TyC Sports at 10 pm., for Argentina and the whole American continent.

In what is expected to be an action packed fight, the talented López (15-0-1, 1 KO), 24 years old, from Junín, Buenos Aires, current # 4 of the International Boxing Federation (IBF) flyweight ranking, # 8 of the World Boxing Associaction (WBA) and # 18 of the World Boxing Council (WBC), who on last July 12th, dominated for the second time Débora Gómez by a wide unanimous decision and obtained the Argentinean and South American crowns, comes after shining on October 25th, over Natalia Alderete by another wide unanimous call in Buenos Aires. Now she will clash against the strong Carreño (19-1, 14 KOs), 21, from Caracas, who after challenging unbeaten German Tina Rupprecht losing on the cards for the WBC World minimum title on December 2018 in Bayern, Germany, has won ten fights in a row, ending on November 9th, when she stopped Carmen Rosas in the fourth round in Trujillo, Venezuela.

On Thursday afternoon, both fighters made the weight on the scales, leaving everything ready for their bout. López weighed 111.7 lbs., and Carreño weighed 111.2 lbs.

The designated officials by the WBO are: the referee will be Rodolfo Stella. The judges will be Edgardo Codutti, Mirta Jara and Héctor Miguel. The supervisor will be Jorge Molina.

In the co main event, in a rematch in cruiserweight division, prospect Nicolás “Pupi” Argañaraz (8-2, 2 KOs), from González Catán, Buenos Aires, faces Gustavo “El Volcán” Schmitt (4-10-1), from Florencio Varela, Buenos Aires, in a matchup scheduled to six rounds, after last April 20th, Argañaraz won by unanimous decision after six chapters in Luis Guillón.

Argañaraz weighed 193 lbs., and Schmitt weighed 193.6 lbs.

Also, in heavyweight division, South American heavyweight champion and multiple Latino heavyweight monarch Gonzalo “Patón” Basile (74-12-0-1 sd, 35 KOs), from Lanús, Buenos Aires, takes on Paraguayan Wilfredo “La Pantera” Arce (8-8-1, 6 KOs),  in a bout scheduled to six rounds.

Basile weighed 230.1 lbs., and Arce weighed 246.9 lbs.

In welterweight division, Emmanuel “GES” Schramm (4-0-1, 3 KOs), from Moreno, Buenos Aires, faces Ezequiel Mansilla (2-2, 1 KO), from Comodoro Rivadavia, Chubut, in a bout scheduled to four rounds.

Schramm weighed 146.8 lbs., and Mansilla weighed 146.1 lbs.

In lightweight division, Yamila Abellaneda (7-4, 3 KOs), from San Juan, takes on Sofía “La Lobita” Rodríguez (2-2), from Laprida, Buenos Aires, in a bout scheduled to four rounds.

Abellaneda weighed 132.7 lbs., and Rodríguez weighed 133.6 lbs.

In flyweight division, Nicolás “Demonio” Muguruza (2-0), from Bragado, Buenos Aires, faces Mauro “El Duende” Quinteros (0-4-1), from Córdoba, in a bout scheduled to four rounds.

Muguruza weighed 112 lbs., and Quinteros weighed 109.2 lbs.

In junior lightweight division, Alexis “Picante” Broggi (2-0), from Bragado, Buenos Aires, takes on Miguel Izequilla Cabrera (0-1), from Morón, Buenos Aires, in a bout scheduled to four rounds.

Broggi weighed 129.8 lbs., and Izequilla Cabrera weighed 128.4 lbs.

Finally, in featherweight division, Maximiliano Maidana (1-0), from Buenos Aires, faces Simón Giuliano (0-2), from Las Flores, Buenos Aires, in a bout scheduled to four rounds.

Maidana weighed 123.7 lbs., and Giuliano weighed 126 lbs.
